Working into the HM Level 3 plan in about 4w from now, and I see workouts tell me that 5K pace zone is 4 and HM pace zone is 3 (usually). If I want to pepper in a 10k pace zone workout where does that one fit? Zone Y?
I can’t seem to find workout in the HM L3 pace plan that I can adopt for a couple solid 10k prep efforts before I dive into the HM L3 plan.

I would think of 10K pace falling somewhere in zone 3. It depends on the person. If you go by the 30 minute test run, this pace would be the top of zone 3. So if you’re fast enough to run a 10K in 30 minutes (which I’m not), then your 10K pace would be the same as your threshold pace. If you’re slower, then it would be further down in zone 3. At least that’s my take on it.
