3 races in 2 months with 80/20 Plan

    Hi,
    I am using plan 80/20 Triathlon: 2023 Edition IRONMAN 70.3® Level 2 (Power and Power, 7 to 13 Hours per Week). It finishes on 7th May when I have a race.
    I have two races then on 11.06 and 09.07.
    How to prepare using that plan for next events? I mean how long do I need to rest and which part of the above plan do I need to repeat to be well prepared for next races?

    Sorry for the delay here. Can I assume that your other two events are also 70.3 events. Is one of those two events more important than the other?

    Hi David,

    Thanks for your answer.
    I follow your plan, don’t skip any training to be fully prepared for 7th May.
    That is my A race. My next race can be a little bit worse than the first.
    The last event on 09.07 should as much important as the first one.

    B, ok then, it’s an easy recommendation:

    – Load the 70.3 plan to end on May 7
    – After the May 7 race, take one week easy, no running, light swim and bike.
    – Reload the plan to end on July 9.
    – Race on June 11 becomes a training day, no taper. However, consider swapping the closest rest week with another week so that the rest week falls on the June 11 event.
