70.2 Level 1 increase volume

    Hi 80/20 Team,

    my 70.3 level 1 plan is going really well =)

    I initially planned to take a full week off (week 12), because of international business travel. However, the trip got cancelled. Originally, I had planned to continue with my plan with transition week 12 after my return.

    Now, I am unsure what to do. Shall I run two transition weeks back to back or shall I move the next training block one week up and add one more week to the block by duplicating the 12h week (week 14) and add a bit (1h) of low Z2 cycling? i.e., transition week 12, week 13, week 14, week 14 + 1h, transition week 15…

    So far I have had no problems with recovery, but I am not sure if it is too risky to increase the volume like this.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi Martin,
    I would suggest you stick with the transition week after your travel (especially as its international air travel as this can be exhausting and needs recovery), then repeat a base week of training (you can repeat any week from the first 12 weeks of the plan to do this). After that you jump back into the plan lined up with your race date.
