70.3 2 weeks before long distance and long run

    I have been using the 80/20 plan since January in preparation for Challenge Roth in 3 weeks. I am also doing IM 70.3 Luxemburg next Sunday as a general test. According to the plan I should one more long run (2h44m) this week.
    My question is: should I still do it (latest on Wednesday) or just skip it and consider the half IM on Sunday as a long run.

    Hi Dafa13.

    Seeing as you are racing this weekend, it might be a good idea to drop that long run down to 2 hours and shift it earlier in the week Switch with Tuesday Run. I assume you are training through the Luxemburg race as its so close to Roth so not tapering for it?


    hi Leyla, thanks for the reply. 2 hours seems like a good compromise :). yes, Luxemburg will be a proper race at the end of the training week, and then taper begins. Diego
