I’m currently on 10k level 2 (week 3) plan and I have my standard problem with it – hopefully – you will be able to help me.
On Saturday I have to go for a long hike in the mountains, it will take around 10 hours to finish. Normally I would have a foundation run that day and long run on Sunday.
I can assume that I don’t need to run on Saturday, that’s pretty obvious, but what to do on Sunday?
I would recommend taking Sunday as a recovery day from your 10k hike, if you are feeling recovered then you could add a short recovery run in on Monday and then return to your training plan as laid out for the rest of the week.
