Adding weeks to Level 1 80/20 Marathon

    I’m about 1 week into the level 1 marathon plan but I need to extend the program to align with my race. Currently, the program is ending on September 3rd but my race is on October 15th. I need to extend the plan by 6 weeks.

    What is the best way to modify the program to align with my race date?

    I would add a maintenance plan (free!) or a getting started plan depending on your fitness. I would do this untill you start you marathon plan to finish on the correct day

    Hi Mgboe,

    The best way to set your plan up correctly would be to unapply it and re-apply with your race day (or the Sunday of race week) as your plan end date to ensure your build and taper line up with your event.

    If you then have time at the start of the plan you can repeat the first general prep weeks of the plan, or use a maintenance or goal focused plan.
