Adjust 80/20 TrainingPeaks plan for honeymoon (vacation)

    Hi, I have purchased the ‘80/20 Triathlon: 2023 Edition IRONMAN® Level 1 (Power and Power, 7 to 14 Hours per Week)’ Training Plan from TrainingPeaks. It’s a 22 week plan which I would start 22 weeks prior to the November 4th race date.

    That said, I am going on a 2 week honeymoon – almost half-way through the plan – and during that time I will not be able to train at all. How can I best adjust my plan accordingly so I don’t miss out on those training weeks?

    Congrats on up coming wedding and honeymoon.

    Here is a resource that covers adjustments for holidays during a plan. In short you will add additional volume the few weeks before and the few weeks after your holiday – and perhaps include a few run workouts if possible during the honeymoon to maintain your fitness.
