    Hello again,
In looking at some of the training plan previews, I notice some of the running is at “CV” pace. For instance, in some fast finish runs it calls for this pace. I’m assuming this is Critical Velocity? If so, I’m wondering how do I go about assigning this pace? I don’t see it in the zone calculator. I browsed through the forum for “CV” and “critical velocity” but didn’t find the answer. Any help is appreciated.

CV runs etc are all part of the revised plans. As it happens I did one this morning with a CV section in it which was 103>120% of FTP. A lot of the workouts on the new plans are very different to those in the book and in the workout library.

Thanks, Martin. When I hear FTP I think Functional Threshold Power. I don’t use power for running, so I’m not sure what my FTP is for running. What would CV be in relation to my LTHR (175)? Or is FTP “functional threshold pace”?

If there are any links to resources I’m not seeing, please feel free to share. Thanks!

I see now that CV is “equal to the low end of zone 4”. Thanks!

Yeah I recently converted to training by power, so I assume it’s going to be similar(ish) numbers for pace and HR
