    Hey teams,

Hope you are all well. I have a questions regarding intensity balance over a multi sport race and training.

I understand to try and keep your training 80/20 as much as possible. So if I’m doing a race with 4 seperate disciplines which require preparation. So if we aim to keep the weekly training at 80/20 I assume we also try and keep the weekly individual disciplines at 80/20 as well. Of course some minor variations is okay.

    Cheers

The answer is yes. If you look at elite triathletes, they do about 80 percent of their swimming, cycling, and running at low intensity. Also, observational studies of recreational triathletes have shown that spending more time at low intensity and less at moderate intensity predicts better performance.
