Just started using power for my run training. So far so good. Notice I don’t have to walk like I did when following HR program. So feeling pretty good where I am heading. Believe I will purchase run power and bike power (so I can sync to Zwift) for the winter. Hope all are well and progressing nicely. BB

    Good move. Power is better.

Hey – great that you have started running with power. It has changed my whole perspective on running. I don’t look at pace or Heart rate, just power. I find that on races I am able to finish with the tank empty, even on hilly courses! I have used Stryd on Zwift and it has been fairly seamless in connecting too.

    Good luck with your training!

What kind of equipment is recommended for running using the power metric? Also, will I need to look at upgrading my Forerunner 235? Or is there something that will work with it?

    Thank you,

Awesome! I’ve enjoyed training by power much more. Maintaining a consistent effort is much more enjoyable than continually slowing down to keep your heart rate in a particular zone.
