    Hi guys,

For those of you who use Zwift and Garmin in your training, it would be helpful to understand your upload process.

As it currently stands, I record a Zwift session in both Zwift, and seperately on my Garmin. Zwift then automatically uploads to Strava but not Garmin Connect (as it doesn’t contain training effort stats), meanwhile Garmin uploads to both Strava and Garmin Connect, I then have to manually delete the Garmin recording from Strava.

Going forward I am about to start using Training Peaks, for my new 80/20 plan. My garmin will be connect to TP for all of my running/swimming and outdoor cycling, and I will also connect TP to Zwift so the structured workouts come across. I won’t want both Zwift recordings to come over to TP though so will need to delete one, should I have a preference here (i.e. are there any advantages of Garmin indoor uploads over Zwift uploads, or vice versa)?

Then is there a way of keeping all of the different pieces of software connected, but stopping one (either Garmin or Zwift) from auto posting Zwift rides to TP, so I don’t have to manually delete one on TP every time?

    Many thanks in advance!

Hamish, great question. I totally understand the dilemma, but I don’t know a solution. What we need is the ability to set “one-way” communication between TP and the devices. You want two-way communication between TP and Device A, but just one-way communication between TP and Device B.

I feel like there is a solution on the tip of my brain…just can’t figure it out.

Unless one of our other members has an idea, I think you can post this problem directly to TP and see what they have to say. Some other athlete has surely posed this same question to them too. You can do that at https://help.trainingpeaks.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Post back here if you get a solution!

    David
