    Hi guys,

I am about to start a new plan, I still would like to be able to go for some PBs within the plan on some of my local running and riding routes, for example my local hill that is a 9km decent climb.

How can I include this into my training plans, thinking once every 4 weeks or there about? How often and how should this be included.

    Thanks

    Paul,

This could work out really well if you were to perform this attempt every rest week, which is every 3rd week in your Running plan. Replace the Friday (or 2nd high intensity run each rest week) with your PB attempt. 9K just happens to be about 30-40 minutes, which is also a great threshold test time so you can level-set on you threshold and zone at the same time.
