I’m thinking about buying half marathon strength training plan, question is, are there exercises for the full body or only main muscles involved in running (legs and hips)? I run 3 – 4 times a week and do strength training 4 times a week, two times upper body and two times legs and core so i need plan for full body with accent on legs and core. Thanks

snake, thanks for considering our plans. Although there is some full body in the run strength plans, it’s not much for upper body. It really is focusing on run performance. Other than core strength (which we have a separate plan for) upper body strength is most likely to cause extra weight without any additional run benefit.

Of course, not all runners want to have a runner’s physique! I’m not suggesting upper body strength is not good, it’s just not optimal for running.

No reason you can’t add in a core strength plan and then add in your own upper body regimen.

Thanks for the answer David. I’m trying to use my time more economicly, planning on more running in future (here is winter) and those gym sessions are becoming litlle demanding 4 times a week. I’ll figure something out, i hope. 😂
Extra weight is not a problem for me, 188cm and 62 kg weight, i had that weight when i started going to gym 9 months ago.. not starving, i promise 😅
