Hi, my goal has always been a Marathon in December. As I was going from Crossfitter (like doing 400m occasionally only) and because I had lots of time, I started with a Half Marathon plan. I did this and completed my half a week or so ago. My marathon plan is now due to start on the 13th August.

My question is, is it ok to start the Marathon plan from the beginning as scheduled even after doing the half? It feels like I would be going backwards for a while. I’m sure this is as intended but just wanted to check here to alleviate any worries!

If its relevant, I finished my half in 2:06:36 which was slower than I wanted but going from how much I died I’m happy with it!

    Thank you!

Yes, you can start the new marathon plan from the beginning as scheduled. This will give your body a chance to rest a bit before the longer workouts begin. Take these next few weeks to recover and add in some cross training to keep your body moving. Yoga, an easy bike ride, and easier runs are all easy ways to keep active before the next round of training begins!

    Happy training!
