Heart rate zone percentage

    Hi everyone,

    Garmin is telling me 60 – 69 % of my MHR is Zone 2, but Strava is much higher. This means the top end of my zone 2 on Garmin is 127bpm but on Strava it is 139. Please can someone inform me which I should use?





    Have you updated your zones in Training Peaks/ Garmin using our 80/20 zone calculator?  This page is a good resource to getting started with your run plan and how to get your zones set up:  https://www.8020endurance.com/intensity-guidelines-for-8020-running/

    Using this information will enable you to update Training Peaks which will in turn update all of your workouts for your prescribed zones.
