I have a long standing trail running group and we run about a 10K trail run every Sunday morning – it’s a moderately challenging trail and we’re running a pace that would normally be a slow zone 1 for me but, since it’s on the trails, my HR averages zone 2/3 (most recent was 23 mins in 2 and 43 mins in 3).
Thoughts on doing my long runs on Saturdays so that I can keep my trail run and counting the trail run as the Friday Foundation/Recovery run? Another option would be using it as my Hill Repetition Run (the ascent is 500 ft)?
