Marathon Level 2 – last hard run

    Hi,
    I’ve been following the level 2 Marathon Power Plan. Last weekend I finished the Zone 2 21 mile long run. 2 weeks before the race, a 19.3 marathon pace run is scheduled.
    In other plans I’ve used, I think the taper was earlier. For a master’s aged person (like myself), should I still push pretty hard 2 weeks before the race? I will obviously listen to my body but just wanted to know if this was the optimal plan.

    If your body handled the load well and you feel OK, then all is well.

    However, if it took it out of you, I can suggest the Masters plans as am alternative.

    Thanks! I’m holding up pretty well so I will stick to the plan.
