    Hello coaches

I going to start a master marathon training plan level 3 and looking forward to it, just looking at the double days where it a quality workout and cross training on the same day which I will have trouble doing the quality workout in the morning first on the weekdays I’m thinking there is two options.
A/ do the cross training in the morning then the quality workout in the afternoon
B/ do the cross training in the morning the next day then the foundation run in the afternoon

    Which option would be better?

The next question which days are best to do the strength training with in the plan?

    Regards. Craig

I’d do the quality in the afternoon and the crosstraining the next morning.

I would recommend doing the cross training in the morning and the quality in the afternoon. I believe the point of doing the easy X-training on the same day is to it on tired legs … doing it the same day as a foundation run defeats that purpose as it’s two easy workouts.

And I’d recommend doing strength on an easy day. Generally you’d want a few hours between the run and strength; however, I generally do the strength and run immediately after. Generally makes for a slow run, but that’s okay with me.
