Just finished up my Tri training for IMLP. I was very happy with my performance. 80/20 helped me complete a life long goal I have had – Thanks! My quesiton is moving forward I have a backyard ultra scheduled for 9-2 and my goal is to get 50 miles. When I apply the plan to my TP it is really only giving me a 2 weeks of training and then a taper. Is there a way I can modify this one of the 50 mile plans to cut down the taper? I probably wouldn’t start this plan until the end of this week since I feel like I was a little over trained for LP.

    Thanks

I’d recommend taking a recovery period after the IM of a minimum of 2 weeks and then use one of our new Bridge Plans. You have a good base of fitness but its important to look back on your most recent weekly volume for running only to ensure you start at the right place to not cause an over-load issue in this short transition period. You can supplement this run bridge plan with some easy swimming and biking to keep the aerobic fitness
