Hi. Just signed up and I am psyched to give this a whirl. Read your book and have dabbled in the training plans in the back of it. 2 questions though. First I have a 10k on August 6th and don’t know if it worth adjusting for it as I am just getting back into things a little seriously. Second, and more importantly… can i have my plan changed from HR run/power bike to power run/power bike in a couple months? I just ordered a garmin running power meter and would love to use it if that helps me be more accurate with things. Thanks and let me know. Rob

    R,

Thanks for using our plans! Regarding the 10K, like most answers, it depends. That 10K is so close, and I assume that your triathlon is a bit further away, that I don’t expect it will interfere. I’d swap a mid-week high intensity run with the week-end long run. For example, a Tuesday or Wednesday interval run becomes your 1+ hour run, and your 1+ hour run on Saturday or Sunday becomes that 10K.

Regarding swapping intensity types: absolutely. It’s part of our Level Guarantee and a request can be submitted here https://www.8020endurance.com/contact/

    David
