Overview in TrainingPeaks Dashboard

    When I look at each activity in TP all zones are correct but looking at the Dashboard I don’t see the 80/20 zones but in stead a 7-zone system (in time in HR zones).
    How can I change to the 80/20 zones also on the dashboard.

    It would be great to be able to analyze time in zones for each week and not only for each activity.

    Fred, great question I’m glad you asked as this is a good topic to have on the forums.

    For an individual workout, TP will give you a breakdown by custom zones. So if you are reviewing an individual workout on the dashboard, you’ll see the 80/20 Zones of 1, 2, X, 3 etc.

    For a TP Dashboard view of multiple workouts (over 7, 30, 90 days…) TP just converts your custom zones to the number of zone buckets you have defined, which results in:

    80/20 Zone 1 = 1
    2 = 2
    X = 3
    3 = 4
    Y = 5
    4 = 6
    80/20 Zone 5 = 7

    If you were using a zone system that only had 5 zones, for example, you’d only see 5 buckets in your dashboard.

    So, it’s a cosmetic thing, but they still line up. Why does TP do it this way? I don’t know…
