I have the R10K5 and R5K5 workouts scheduled soon in the 5K Level II plan. Although the descriptions suggest the pace (or power) reflect a 10 & 5 KM effort the structured workouts ask for the same zones as percentage of threshold.
Is it the intent that we simply work within the zones provided or should we relax the 10K workout effort?
Charles, great question. For various reasons to maintain compatibility and consistency with the structured workout format, we keep a consistent zone and % of threshold in all workouts. This is an example where the description overrides the structured workout.
