    Hi everyone!
Posting here for the first time.
I have been following an 8020 Olympic Tri Level 1 plan for the last 15 weeks and trying to figure out how to mix and match different structured plans for the rest of my season.
Background on my racing this year:
    – Started 8020 plan on Feb 27th
    – Intermediary Olympic race on May 6th to open the season
    – Plan ends with another Olympic race on June 17th
    – Two more Olympic races: August 6th (also, my main race this year so I can track consistent progress over a few years) and September 30th

I have reviewed available options and here’s what I can do:
    1. Start another Olympic plan straightaway, maybe start it from week 2 so it ends exactly with my last race
    2. Do some shorter plans to focus on aspects of racing other than endurance. I was thinking to start Race Weight plan Level 1 or 2 to match medium volume cardio training with strength and mobility

What would be the best choice for me to keep improving the form 8020 way?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    Hi A,

The simplest way to set up plans for the races you have for the rest of the year would be:

    June 19th-25th Recovery Week
June 26th-August 6th Re-apply the the Olympic Level 1 plan for the last 5 weeks (as this is your A race you want to have another full build and taper.
August 7th till the 13th Active Recovery week
August 14th till September 30th you could use the Triathlon Racing weight to reduce volume, and work on strength and body composition and do your last race more to assess improvements in these areas.

    Cheers
    Coach Leyla
