I understand the “no medical advice” admonition. My question is: once cleared to exercise, where we do you recommend I pick up? Should I restart at the beginning or start somewhere else in the program?

Medical governance of the process continues beyond the quarantine. Experts recommend a gradual, monitored return to normal training over a period of weeks, even for those who were asymptomatic while testing positive. That basically means you should forget about the plan until after you’ve completed this process successfully. You can’t go by how you feel with covid. I was healthy and fit for six months between the time I recovered from the active virus and the time I developed long covid. Now I can’t even walk for exercise.

Thank you for the prompt response. The article is really helpful, if a little depressing. I am not sure if it still holds with the Omicron variant but it seems sensible to be conservative.

I am really sorry to hear about the long covid. Did you follow the RTP protocols in the article?

Those protocols didn’t exist when I got covid. This is what I did instead (not recommended):

Thanks. I am definitely not going to try to do that. The RTP protocol in the article is more my (slow) speed. Good luck with recovery. Good luck with you 80/20. I like it alot.
