I got the J&J vaccine on Sunday. By early Monday morning I was running a low grade fever and felt bad. My fever broke overnight and now It’s Tuesday and I am not sure what to do about training since I still feel a little weak and was very dehydrated this morning. I am currently in week 11 of the Level 2 Olympic training plan. Today should be a bike and run day, but I definitely don’t feel up to that as of this morning. Any suggestions on when to hit the reset button and how to roll back into the plan as smoothly as possible?

I had the AZ jab and it wiped me out for 2 days – fortunately one was my rest day and I only missed one planned workout. However, I suffered from unusual fatigue for a week, so although I continued to train, I had to go much easier than normal easy 🙂
So I’d just say listen to your body and make a call on it, and if you have to go easy for a few days then so be it

Congratulations on getting the vaccine! I feel we’re dipping into the realm of medical advice here, which I am not competent to dispense. But the general rule for returning to training from a brief health-related interruption is to wait until you feel 100% healthy, then do an easy test workout or two, and if you pass that test, resume full training.
