Predicted Finish CTL almost 20pts lower than I’m starting at?

Sorry, new to Training Peaks, in my first week of Intermediate 100km Run Plan. When I look at my predicted progress graph it shows my CTL score falling for a number of weeks before starting to climb again, but never reaching the level I’m currently at and following a presumed Taper finishing almost 20 points below where I’m staring from.
Will this self adjust as the plan progresses?
I notice that my completed TSS scores for the runs I’ve done so far have been above the Planned Score. eg Yesterday’s Foundation Run Planned TSS 38, rTSS 71. Planned Ave Pace 6:00/km, actual 5:33/km.
Have I chosen the wrong level of Training Plan? I don’t feel I can warrant more than Intermediate!

    Hi there StefBrx,

We often see this issue with the TSS scores in TrainingPeaks when the zones have not been set up correctly in your settings. To get an accurate predicted TSS for a future session you need to ensure that you have set your zones up not just default but sport specific for the metrics you will be using (HR, Pace and Power).

Here is a resource on setting up your zones:

Understanding Your TrainingPeaks.com Structured Workout Plan

This will correct your planned TSS and also your future CT. But don’t get too caught up in the CTL it needs everything to be extremely accurate in order to rely on it completely, and it doesn’t reflect sport/race specificity. David wrote a great blog about this you can find it here:

    Cheers
