Question on endurance for a Half Marathon

    Im doing a 80/20 plan for my first half in about 3 months. My slow runs are at around 8:15 min/km. The plan has the longes run at 2:15 hours, which at my pace, it will be around 16km. Then the plan tapers for 2 weeks until my sunday half.

    Am i going to be able to run the whole half at a better place than my zone 2 (8:15 min/km) and am i going to have the legs for the whole 21k?

    I’ve just completed the HM plan and if I recall correctly before the taper there is one or two runs that are distance based to get the practice at distance regardless of pace.

    Also, I’m assuming that you are towards the stat of the plan and your pace will improve over the plan.

    Yes, im about to star week 4 of the plan.

    Btw, how did you do on de HM?

    I’m not a great runner but took 4:30 off my PB to just under 2 hours.
