    Hi,

I am restarting running after 2 year break and i am looking forward to start the build process with 80/20 plan. However i have one basic question. If i am following run/walk/run strategy then should i be increasing total time mentioned in the plan. For e.g., lets say plan says 50 mins in z2. If i follow 2 min run and 1 min walk then i would be walking ~16-17 mins of total 50 mins. Should I in that case, add 16 additional mins of running to make 50 mins of “run” time or still stick to 50 min of total time.

Over time, i know run time will increase and walk time will decrease but for just starting out, some guidance will be helpful

I would say no, you are really looking for time on feet and you are still getting that. David and crew have said multiple times you can’t really go too slow. Zones 1 and 2 are both easy and all count towards your 80% of time easy.
