The calendar lines up my rest day on Sundays with a Saturday race date.
This isnt very feasible for me with work/family life. I love the Monday as a rest day after two long workout days on Sat and Sun.
I know its not ideal, but can I just push things back one day from this point on to make Monday the rest day? Is there another work around? Could I move it back to Sunday as I get closer to race?
Or do I just get done what I can get done with some of those longer workouts during the week?
No need to have 95% of your training plan be non-optimal just because your event is on a Saturday. Unload your plan and reload it for an end date of the Sunday after your Saturday event, and then the rest day is always Monday. Then, just drop a day the last week of training and move a few days back to make your race day still be Saturday.
