Sore legs on the bike

    suddenly since last week, my quads start to burn and become sore very fast on the bike. It takes literally up to 5 minutes at a moderate pace (~190W @ 85rpm) till the noticeable soreness.
    My bike setup didn’t have changed. I’ve already tried to use lower gear at a higher cadence but this didn’t help much.

    What could be the reason and how to tackle it?

    Hi Denis,

    Very hard to diagnose a muscular issue via this format. I would recommend you take some recovery time, ensure you are warming up correctly and adding in some activation exercises prior to your workouts. If you are somewhere that the temperature has changed hydration/electrolytes could also contribute to muscle fatigue/cramping. If the issues continue after rest and a change in your training then it would be worth seeing a PT for an evaluation.
