Strange voice guidance

Yesterday I did the LIR1 workout using power, and when a new step was about the begin the voice guidance was strange. For example, my running power was supposed to be between 320-360 watts, and the voice guidance was telling me power should be 8265 (no units were stated by the voice guidance).

It was no big deal, I just ignored the voice guidance and followed the workout plan. I just thought it was weird.

Any idea what could cause that? Is that an 80/20, Garmin, or TP issue?

    Thx,

    MB,

What are you using for your power?  Garmin?  Stryd?

I’m not completely sure what you are referencing with the voice guidance.

    Coach,

I’m using Garmin for the running power. I have my Garmin watch (Epix Gen 2 Pro) paired with my earbuds. The strange voice guidance comes in when I’m about to start a new step in the planned workout. For example, when the warm up ends, and the first work step is about to start my garmin will tell me verbally what the power goal is for the next step. The issue is the number it tells me is way off. Like the power should be 220 watts but the watch will tell me it should be 4350. Like I said in my original post I know what the power levels should be so I just ignore the voice guidance.

    MB,

Sounds like you have found a good work around.

    Happy training!
