I am planning my 2021 season currently. As of right now, I have 3 main races planned:
Virtual HM 3/27
US Air Force Marathon 9/17
ORRRC Turkey Trot 5 Miler 11/25
I am starting the level 1 HM plan today to end on 3/27. The Full marathon level 1 plan will begin 5/16/2021. The current plan is to start the 10K plan on week 3 after the Marathon with intensity variation for the first week or two depending on how I feel.
My question is in reference to the 7 weeks between the half and full plan. I originally thought about doing the first 7 weeks of the Maintenance plan as an off season. However, I am now wondering if it would be better to add weeks 1-7 of the Marathon plan as an additional base for the marathon training.
Any suggestions?
