I have a 70.3 in 2 weeks, but my A race is IMLP on 7/25.. my 80/20 calendar has a recovery week this week and a much tougher week, the following when I am racing.When I selected my plan I only put in my A race, I just added the 70.3 a few weeks ago.. the plan doesn’t put in a taper for the 70.3 as it does for my IM. So my question is ,CAN I flip the weeks?, make this week tougher and next week my recovery, when I racing on the SUNDAY..
Our plans are not adaptive, so they don’t change automatically in response to your changes. For a detailed education on how to make your own adjustments, check out Chapter 8 of 80/20 Triathlon. Making these types of adjustments optimally is seldom as easy as swapping weeks because that way you end up with two many heavy weeks and two many recovery weeks stacked together.
In your case, I recommend that you do half-week swaps. If you give me the relevant week numbers, I cwill explain further.
