What next after completing first plan

    So just about to undertake my second ever half marathon on Sunday and complete my first 8020 plan (HM L0). I have another HM in 14 weeks. So what is next?

    I believe I take the week after the race off – is that correct.

    I don’t think I have the time for the number of runs in the L1 plan – so do I just take a new threshold test and repeat the LO plan?

    Is the TrainingPeaks PACE app an option with Matt as the coach – or is than not 8020 (which I like as I have had only one injury using it).

    Hi FatDad,

    Yes take a week of recovery (light walks, non running low impact exercise is fine) then you can restart the Level 0 plan. Updating your zones following a test in the next transition week on the plan.

    The pace app is something you can try out along side TrainingPeaks to see which you prefer.. The pace app does adjust for your goal, pace and completed session – but you do miss seeing your workout data and the analytics that come with TrainingPeaks so really comes down to preference on what gives you the best plan approach and interface to allow you to enjoy and have successful training.
