    Hi all,
I am new to forum so hopefully this is the correct place to post/ask this question.

I am planning on using the level 3 ironman program with my A race being Sep 2023 , with it being so long away and the plan being 23 weeks i was looking for some advice on what i should do beforehand.

I am have set up the maintenance plan for the next 12 weeks but was wondering do i start the IM plan after that and then go up to 23 weeks out and start it again ?

Hope that makes sense and thanks in advance.

Andy, thanks for posting. I don’t recommend that you repeat the IM plan. Instead, break up the next year into 3 distinct seasons. Season 1 and 2 are about 3 months long, and season 3 the 6-month IM plan.

Season 1 or 2 can be actual events. Sprint, 10K, HM… You can also do more than just the Maintenance plan to fill Season 1 or 2. You’ll find a variety of off-season/pre-season plans in our Maintenance, Goal-Focused, Racing Weight, Strength and Mobility, Cycling, Swimming, and Stride Academy plans. Each plan caters to a specific need or weakness that you might have, and they range from 6 to 12 weeks in length. You can do one after the other, and even mix and match to target more than one goal at a time. I suspect that at least one or two of these plans are perfect for you.
