Which plan for off-season

    Just curious on anyone’s approach to the off-season and which 80/20 plan would work best just for Swim/Bike/Run frequency and duration.  Shorter more intense sessions vs longer vs intermediate??


    I typically recommend athletes focus on their weakest discipline during the off season.  We have some great goal focused plans that will provide some great workouts for you.  I also stress the importance of strength training all year, but especially in the off season when things are a bit slower on the training calendar.

    If you have planned out your 2024 season, then take a look at your races and look for an off season plan that matches your goals.  For example, if you are training for sprint triathlons or something shorter in distance, then you can focus on some strength and speed work.  If you are focusing on long course, then your focus would be a bit different.
