I am running with a Stryd Power pod and purchased a 50mile/100k powerbased plan.
I have a question about zone 4.
In your resource about “Understanding Your 8020 Run Plan”, you said that zone 4 is the narrowest zone. But the range for running power zone 4 is 102-120% of rFTP.
I wouldn’t say this is a narrow range.
Can you explane this for me?
Thanks for pointing this out. This line is a relic from when our plans were only HR-based. You’ll see that Zone 4 for HR is only 3 units. We neglected to update the document when we rolled out the Pace and Power plans which have a much broader Zone 4.
I’ve removed that line from both our Run and Triathlon Understanding documents.
